Frankie Edgar said he was doing the "company" thing when he agreed to step in and face Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 153: Aldo vs. Edgar in October. Now, with news of Aldo's exit from the bout, another "company" man is making it known he would be willing to face "The Answer."
Urijah Faber, who was last seen falling to Renan Barao in a bout for the interim UFC bantamweight title, wrote on Twitter that he would accept a fight with Edgar back at featherweight.
"Bulking up for the (Edgar) fight in case (Dana White, UFC) come a knocking," Faber posted.

This would be the first time in history a title fight takes place with both fighters coming off a loss the injury bug has become a plague

This would be awesome fight and a good test for Edgar to see if he is ready for a shot at Aldo, but there's no way it can be for an interim title. Faber has already had way to many chances and both guys are coming off loses in other divisions.

Be a good fight to watch be nice to see Faber in a non title match he puts on better performances in those matches. Great test for Edgar at 145 as well to see if he can keep up.

I'd rather see Ellenberger vs. Heiron. It would most certainly be more relevant.
