Lyoto Machida Tweets Out A 'Big Surprise' Is In The Future; Wanderlei Silva Hints At UFC 153 Fight

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida turned down a chance to face UFC 205-pound champion Jon Jones recently. However, Machida has gone to Twitter to hint as a future surprise announcement.
"We are preparing a big surprise for you!" Machida posted, along with a photo of himself, Wanderlei Silva, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.

The UFC announced on Tuesday that both UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson have been forced off the October card from Brazil. No replacement opponents for either Frankie Edgar or Glover Teixeira have been announced by the promotion, or any new fights to replace the previously scheduled ones.

Of course, it's also possible that this has nothing to do with the October card and that Machida will be making another announcement of some kind.

Silva added some fuel to the fire, posting a message on Twitter that read, "UFC RIO???" Silva has talked about competing once more this year after falling to Rich Franklin earlier this year in Brazil.

Interesting, could it be possible some kinda shake up with the some match ups are underway ?

Very likely.
Maybe Machida is fighting Glover in Rio as anticipated. Or maybe Wandy is fighting Sonnen.

I don't think Glover and Lyoto will fight. Glover works out with the Team Nog/Blackhouse guys...right?

I knoe Glover works at The Pit and is buddies with Chuck and crew, but I though I heard somewhere that he was also friends and did some training with the Blackhouse guys...then again I could have made that up

I don't think he trains with team nog. He trains with the Pit and he also trains with Marco Ruas

You are correct, they have trained together a bit. Even before Glover joined the ufc, he even said how Machida's dad has told both of them that they will have to fight some day.
