I just can't escape how ninja/ghost-like Machida looked against Bader, as though he was merely swatting a fly away.
Now, if Hendo can turn this into a dogfight, he's got a good chance to land the homer. Although I think Machida just fights so cleverly, evasive and impressive that he'll probably just dizzy Hendo ever time he wades in that I don't think he'll be able to put hands on him to appropriately work the clinch.
Hendo's chin is rock solid, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been dropped. Shogun and Fedor both had him loopy and for me, I just see Machida waiting for his opening, letting Dan come to him and takes advantage.

Great fight, but I hate it lol. I really hate to see either guy lose and hendo is probably as close as he'll ever be to the title again. I think he should get his shot, let Machida get maybe Rashad or Davis if he wins against Prado.

A question I would like to pose:
Just what happens to Lyoto's career if he loses?!
Would he go to Middleweight?

Would he go to Middleweight? | I doubt it, there's no shame in losing to hendo anyway. Maybe if hendo wins the title, its a possibility

Would he go to Middleweight? | Maybe, but what does that matter so long as Silva is the MW champ. He's going to be in career limbo in either division.

I really hope Hendo wins. I wanted to see him go against Jones again and hopefully capture a UFC belt.

This is one of the worst possible matchups for Hendo. I think Machida isn't just going to beat him, he is going to make Hendo look really bad. Machida will pick hendo apart until hendo gasses.

And Henderson, while not super nimble, has experience and is sneaky at sliding his overhand right into place.
I think Machida is lucky he got the Couture and Bader fights to boost his confidence but he'll be evasive in this one. Henderson is too durable and too cagey. Eventually he'll connect or Machida will win a disappointing decision.
Either way, he doesn't get the title shot.
