| Weidman an early 3-to-1 favorite over Boetsch Weidman an early 3-to-1 favorite over Boetsch Quote:
Weidman has a 185-pound battle lined up against Tim Boetsch at UFC 155: "Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2" on Sat., Dec. 29, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he's a -355 favorite, according to MMAOddsBreakers.com.
Don't expect "The Barbarian" to just roll over.
Since dropping to middleweight, Boetsch has rattled off four consecutive wins, including his bookie-busting upset over Hector Lombard at the UFC 149: "Faber vs. Barao" PPV earlier this year. Prior to that, the New England nightmare beat the brakes off former division number one contender Yushin Okami.
He's as tough as they come. And at +265, he might be worth a bet.

3-1? Really? Damn, I figured Weidman would have been the favourite but I never would have guessed that Boetch would have been that big of an underdog. This might be worth putting money on.

I think the impression is that Boetch is the guy who's on a lucky streak - tooled initially by Okami, questionable fight with Lombard.
But with his power, his toughness, and him actually showing some lateral movement in the last fight, I think he'll be a good test for Weidman. Agree that Weidman is the clear favorite, but 3:1 is steep to me.

I feel like Weidman's gonna out class him like Okami did. Props to Tim for pulling that fight out, but he was worked for most of that fight. I think Weidman finishes him.

This sounds right IMO. I like the Barbarian, but Weidman is a legit legit contender who could hold the belt someday. Didn't Phil Davis submit Boetsch? I think Weidman will do the same.

at 3-1 odds, botesch is a pretty tempting bet. I do think weidman has a better chance then tim, but the barbarian is hard to count out of a fight, as he's shown us several times now.
