Yeah, as if an elite athelete is going to reply, " no, man. I couldn't care less about ever getting a title shot. I'm just happy and content remaining in any state of mediocrity."
I do think some fighters know they will never get a shot, but either just enjoy the paycheck or the competition. I'm sure Stephan Bonnar knows he's not knocking on the door to a title fight. He might want one.... But realistically wanting one and deserving/even being close are totally different. I think it's logical that some fighter just go in there to fight... They go in there to win that fight and then they will concern themselves with the next fight... Some guys ate just gate keepers.

Since when does Mike scare anyone with KO POWER??
Mike, is a soild fighter with endless cardio, good speed and footwork, but he does not have one shot KO power...never has and never will.
For some people it is best they never get a title shot! One once you get a shot and lose badly, but are still top 10 promoters may not want to risk up and comers againt them and let them go. You can make more money being middle of the pack or exciting gate keeper in the UFC than most other Org's being there champ.
