You really do not have a clue how a contract works do you. Its one thing if you want to hate on the man but at least try not say something stupid while you are doing it.

Jones signed a contract to fight on that night to fight Hendo. Once Henderson pulled out of the fight the contact was null and void. There for he no longer had the obligation.

And, no, Jones is not scared of loosing to Chael.....Hell he offered to fight a guy much more dangerous only a month later. That guy declined.

He declined that fight out of smart decision making. If you think Sonnen had any kind of a chance at winning a fight against Jones you are a jackass. If you think Jones was afraid of Sonnen for some reason then you are just retarded.

No, the contract was to fight HENDERSON on that night, not to just fight on that night in general.

Bens got a right to say what he wants just as we do. But I gotta agree with the one post Ben might have a diffrent opinion if he was a up and comer and fighting to pay bills.

Thats Zuffas fault. Jones isn't responsible for paying everyones bills.

Definitely see Bendo's take on the situation. One thing that stood out to me is what he said at the end about having to do whats best for ones career and paying the bills.... By that token, he pretty much says that mma is more of a job than an actual passion. That is one of the things i feel is wrong with the sport today (as previously stated in an earlier thread)

It has to pay the bills first and foremost because of the time and effort these guys put into it. Can have all the passion in the world for something but if you don't have the means to dedicate yourself to it won't matter how much passion you have.

My issue with Jones wasn't that he didn't want to fight sonnen. It was his incessant whining afterwards. I never placed the bulk of the blame on him, it was was profound mismanagement by Zuffa on several points leading up to the debacle.

But Jones' spoiled brat tweets were more than enough to earn him the raw deal he got.

Jones was hated on far longer than some would let on... He was heavily booed ever since he fought Shogun.... even at the weigh ins...

Why should he treat the fans good if they dont show him respect... He always thanks his true fans, but knows how he is viewed by the majority of the MMA community...

People claim he is fake... Which I can see... but it is very strange for someone to be criticized for trying to hide their cockiness.

Personally I wish he would just give the fans what they want... He should have pulled a Lebron James and said something along the lines of Criticize me all you want, I make a ton of money doing what I love.
