You're doing a lot of "some people" or "many people" posts lately with vague allegations of this or that.
I'm not talking about what some people did or didn't do. I'm sure some people actually do hate him just because he's Black. I'm not one of them.
I thought he acted like a punkass after he made the decision not to face sonnen. I can only comment on that, and what I felt personally.

Jones really cares if people like him or not. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have interview after interview trying vainly to explain himself and to become well-liked. But that's only going to be so effective--or really, so
ineffective--when he keeps playing a fool and saying emotional nonsense that serves to distance fans, and then going and trying to win them back later. He's his own worst enemy.

For the record, I haven't called him fake, nor have I asked him to hide his cockiness.
If he's cocky, he's going to lose some fans who don't appreciate that. If he tries to be fake and hide it, he's going to lose others for being fake. It doesn't make a difference to me, but it seems to represent a barrier for him to be happy himself unless he determines who he wants to be and just goes out and does it.

I think you're trying to make him be something he isn't, just as the guys who don't want him to be cocky are trying to change him, just as the guys who don't want him to be fake are trying to change him. He is who he is. He's never going to make everyone happy, and that's fine. What sucks is that he seems to be unhappy while he's trying to cater to opposing ends of a spectrum.
