Pee wee's always slammed jits for some reason. He deserves to be subbed in a very painful way so as to change his outlook on the fight game. I can never get behind a guy who disrespects my favorite aspect of MMA

Well I actually have to take Herman's side. When was the last time we saw a guy with a BJJ base be world champion? BJ Penn? But Penn by the time he was world champion @ LW was basically a boxer who used his BJJ when he got bored. Matt Serra is the other one but he has not submitted anyone in years.
I am not talking about guys with Black Belts either, I am talking about guys who use BJJ as their main weapon. Guys like Big Nog, Maia, Vinny, Yani and so on. Outside of BJ Penn there have really been no BJJ guys to hold world titles in years.
It seems to me now that BJJ is that thing you put in your back pocket just in case you need it. But really it is greatly over shadowed by wrestling and striking.

It takes more effort to get it to that bjj stage in a fight.. and wrestling is usually necessary.

when i used to watch pee wee fight i would think he needs to be in the ufc and since he got there it's like he not trying. he's not the same pee wee

Herman's always been a goof and as TREMENDOUSLY athleticially gifted as he is, his aloofness rubs alot of people the wrong way because he really doesn't appear to take fighting seriously. This involves just phoning in training camps and relying on core ability, rather than developing his technique further to become a better overall fighter, with the end result being that he comes into fights looking like he's doing improv.
