I am not talking about guys with Black Belts either, I am talking about guys who use BJJ as their main weapon. Guys like Big Nog, Maia, Vinny, Yani and so on. Outside of BJ Penn there have really been no BJJ guys to hold world titles in years.
It seems to me now that BJJ is that thing you put in your back pocket just in case you need it. But really it is greatly over shadowed by wrestling and striking. | I really don't think that is a fair comparison between Nog and Maia. Nog can actually box and has no problems with knocking guys the fuck out if they want to fight on the feet. Often times the fight ends up on the ground and thats where he flips on the BJJ.
Nog is not 1 dimensional but at the sametime the chances of him becoming champion is highly unlikely considering JDS is the current title holder and I doubt they would fight eachother.

JDS is far from the biggest obstacle for Nog becoming champ lol

Damn I'd love it if Nog could fight Mir 3 more times! I think he'd beat Mir for sure. Maybe have an old school match between him and Barnett? I think Nog is still relatively young, depending on how much getting his arm broken effects his stand up, I think he's no easy night for any hw. He has really good boxing and his ground game is probably still the best in the division, even after getting subbed by Mir. I'd like to see him put together a little streak and make a run at the title. Hell I can dream can't I?

I like Big Nog, but seriously..... | But Seriously, Nog just made a statement. Ju Jitsu does work and so does his boxing. I think Nog has the name and fanbase to get into the title mix, especially if JDS loses the belt. And I think Frank Mir doesn't want any part of Nog again. Nog vs Hunt or maybe test him against Struve.......

Glad that Big Nog won.
PeeWee was fighting like a tool and is a cocky sum bitch for someone who lost 2 straight in the UFC previous to this bout.

However I am stating that Pee Wee is not on the same level than guys like JDS, Cain or Overroid.
Big Nog can beat guys like Herman, I think that he can even beat Stefan Struve. But Cain or Overeem are in a whole different level.
JDS of course too, but JDS and Big Nog will never fight anyway.

Gotta say it... But I think Herman has found something even less effective then jiu jitsu. It's holding your lead hand out like a goof while getting punched in the face over and over. He's trying to coast by on his athleticism but it's just not working. He needs to tighten up his skills, especially his boxing, if he doesn't want to get out struck every time he fights a higher caliber guy.
Seeing a really cocky guy get not only humbled, but forced to eat his own words, it's just priceless.

I think Pee Wee's career is over.
He looked horrible against Einemo but by miracle he won, and his next 3 fights, he lost them in embarrasing way.
Maybe he can go and challenge Kimbo like he did 4 years ago.
