I think Fitch can only take this in the usual Fitch style of winning.

I can't believe it, but I'm kinda rooting for Fitch, Hell maybe he'll surprise us all? Or maybe he'll just dry hump, win, and pay his bills......

I disagree to the comparison. I do agree the hype is comparable between Silva and Barbosa but they have complete different styles. Barbosa is a more take his time and technically beat you. Silva on the other hand is usually on the attack and very aggressive which makes him very dangerous but also makes him vulnerable for being over aggressive and Fitch grabbing ahold of him. But I don't think that happens. Got Silva tko rd 2

"Honestly it has to be," Fitch told Bleacher Report in regard to the next chapter of his career. "If this fight doesn't go the way I need it to, I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next. Losing fights is not paying the bills. It is not really an option for me to go out there and not perform well or not put on a good show. I'm really looking for the 'Fight of the Night' bonus. That is something which is really going to put some distance between me and financial problems."
^^^^ What is Fitch trying to say here? To me when i first read this it came off like if i dont win this fight im done with fighting. He said if it doesnt go the way he needs it to that hes at a loss for what to do next....would anyone else be surprised if fitch called it quits if he lost to silva? i mean really what else is left for him at WW if he did lose? He wont ever fight GSP again, lost to Silva (if that happens), lost to Hendricks...it would be hard to sell Fitch vs any top contenders anymore imo so would he be the new 170 gatekeeper?
i expect fitch to just come out and try to grind his way to a victory, like he does everytime

Fitch has one beautiful FOTN performance and I see him possibly getting another tonight the same way he got his last.
Getting destroyed for 3 rounds in highly spectacular fashion.
Not likely but will be only way he gets another FOTN.

I like how he doesnt mention finishing the fight lol, still a fight of the night bonus would do wonders to Fitchs record, especially against a top up n comer.
I like Fitch and I give him mad props for his style and skills and I actually agree with him on this: Quote: |
That can mislead a lot of people and the fighters themselves because fast knockouts or fast finishes over opponents who get finished and knocked out often could build a false sense of confidence."
| I've never seen Silva out of the 1st round, so all I know of him is this explosive wrecking machine, I got a false sense of what type of fighter he really is based on three fights, and Im sure im not the only one.
Im hoping so bad that Silva is the real deal. Im hoping he gets his wrestling tested and finishes off Fitch late in the second or third. But a smart man wouldnt pick Fitch to lose two times in a row(3times whatever), let alone get finished two times in a row.
Im betting the house that Fitch takes this fight pretty decisively, Im hoping im wrong.

Get your pillows and snuggies, this one's gonna be a sleeper lol
OT: Fitch is still one of the best ww in the world no matter how boring we find his style. If it works, if it aint broke don't break it.

He must mean KO of the night, sorry Fitch, don't you remember from last time, they don't give KO bonuses to the person that gets KO'ed.
