| Jon Jones Open To TUF Coaching Gig, But Not Against Daniel Cormier Jon Jones Open To TUF Coaching Gig, But Not Against Daniel Cormier | UFC NEWS MMA News | Mixed Martial Arts | UFC News | BJPenn | MMA Fight | UFC Fights Quote: | I’d be interested in a TUF season in the future, but it’d take the right opponent. As far as Daniel Cormier saying he wants to coach against me, he would want that, wouldn’t he? He’s relatively unknown, I want to do it when the fans are aware of both guys, and when it’s spunky and when it raises a lot of viewers. I’m not here to raise his stock.”

That's probably the same reason he won't fight Silva, just not enough name recognition.

"The right opponent" would be someone that the fans hate more than Jones. The guy just can't help but act like a douche, and doing TUF wouldn't help his image. Could you imagine how much stupid shit he would say with cameras following him around all day?

But the fight with Sonnen, who he would beat easily, is just so appealing now isn't it?

Jon Jones has a lot to learn to be coaching material...then again so does Rampage...so why the fuck not? He'd be the biggest drama queen the show has ever had by far...

He also said tuf would be good to keep him in the public eye as he gets down to 205 (Cormier). "Im not here to raise his stock" , once again sounds like a jackass. I know what he's trying to say but no need to sound like a jackass, that last comment wasn't needed.

For once, I hope dana's sense of spite works in our favor and he gives the TUF job to Cormier just to fuck with Jones for not fighting sonnen on short notice.
I would find that hilarious.

Well, he's right though...right now Cormier has no UFC stock whatsoever. I think he needs to be 1 or 2 top contenders at 205, then he can do it. But until then it's going to be a hard sell. Might not have been said in the most sensitive way, but he told the truth.
