To me wins in higher divisions should hold weight. Like if bj beats rory then drops down, that win should give him a boost at lw.

I'm sure Sonnen's performance in the first fight and again in the first round of the following fight are a substantial factor.

DC is different from the usual guy coming in or dropping down. Zuffa owns Strikeforce and he's coming here anyway. The UFC was also sending a fighter to fight him. He's more of an insider than an outsider.
