Jon Jones Speaks Out Against TRT Usage

Quote:

“I think it’s terrible. I think it’s absolutely terrible if you’re going to consider yourself an athlete. TRT would be perfect for Chael Sonnen if he wasn’t competing in one of the toughest sports in the world,” Jones stated.

“I think Chael Sonnen made tons of money when he was a young guy, and now he’s an older guy. And now just to be able to take a drug and super-enhance yourself back to where you were in your 20′s is bull.”

Quote:

“Right now I’m 25, I’m sure I’m not as giddy and happy-go-lucky as I was when I was 20, so if I take a drug at my 25-year-old age and have the energy of a 20-year-old, it just wouldn’t be fair. Everyone would hate me if I did it, but Chael Sonnen gets to do it? I think it’s bull crap,” Jones stated.

Sonnen didn’t have much to say in response other than saying, “I don’t have any comment.”

For the record, that's not describing TRT. It's describing testosterone abuse.

Big difference, but people are going to believe what they want to believe.

When he said "happy go lucky" I just assumed Jones was talking about SSRIs. Which should also be illegal. If you're too sad to get up and train in the morning, then your body is telling you that you're not a fighter.

Thank you. It's totally different. I am on TRT myself and would consider it unfair to not be allowed to use it. It's there to get people to a healthier level where they are supposed to be. Not somehow transform you back 15 years earlier...that's just stupid

Is this a real interview? I could've sworn jones said the EXACT same thing when talking about Henderson....replace the names and you have the same interview

Nvm: it was just similar points made, but it was different.

I'm on it as well. I can say for me it's not some fountain of youth. I certainly don't feel like I'm twenty. According to my wife I'm less irritable. According to my kids they agree that I'm much better with patience during practices and when we come home I still have the energy to go on bike rides or to the park or river. The last few years after work and practice I was ready to crash.

Exactly. That's the case with me also. When your levels get low, it affects everything. It's pretty unhealthy to live with your levels that low

Yeah, well you guys are just juicers making excuse-ers.

I'm on a rhyming thing this week. I might end up going back to haiku, though.

Note: I do not believe anything I wrote above. Even the haiku part.

For some reason I picture dana screaming into an iphone "you're too fuckin' SAD to take a short-notice fight? What?" and then his brain explodes. It doesn't even make that big of a mess.

It made me smile.

He might be reading off an old cue card that GJackson wrote out for him, and just whited out Hendo's name and wrote in sonnen.

I think drunk driving should be illegal. It is really unfair to all the sober trees, & telephone poles.
