| Cormier says Jon Jones is looking at MMA differently since he won the UFC Title Daniel Cormier says Jon Jones is looking at MMA differently since he won the UFC Title Quote:
When it comes to guys like Jon Jones and Anderson Silva, ducking and scared doesn't come to mind. Those are two words I wouldn't use when you talk about those guys. They're not afraid of anything. His belief must really be that it doesn't bring anything to the table at this point. Because you gotta remember, that this is the guy that said he didn't want to fight Lyoto [Machida] again because it didn't sell enough pay-per-views. He's looking at it differently now than I think he was whenever he was making his way up, when he first got the belt."
-Strikeforce heavyweight Daniel Cormier talks to MMAFightCorner.com and comments on what he sees as a different thought process in UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones

It is not that he is seeing MMA different.
It is just that he wanted to portray a fake persona and pretend to be somebody who he was not. He wanted to be extremely loved by everyone.
Instead, he is one of the most hated fighters so he got tired of acting and now he does not give a fuck anymore, so he simply shows who is he in reality.

Not wanting to fight someone because you don't think it'll sell ppvs is no excuse. If you're the champion, you should want to fight the best competition possible and be willing to fight whoever your boss puts in front of you.

If I was Jon Jones, I would want to fight Anderson Silva. If I was Anderson Silva, I would want to fight Jon Jones. If I was UFC brass, I would only offer this fight to these two fighters up front (Wiedman and Henderson on the back burner). I am a drinker that wants to watch the best in the world fight the best in the world to see who is the best in the world.
Oh yeah, Daneil Cormier? If he gets to fight already and continues stomping people out, maybe we can be talking about him fighting for the "baddest MF in the world" status..

rh | I was referring more to him not wanting to fight Machida than him taking a fight with Sonnen.
If I was Dana, and I told Jones who he should fight next just to have him say "no it won't sell as many PPV's", I would take offence to that. Dana knows what he's doing (most of the time) and he's the promoter. Jones should shut up, listen to the guy that's been doing this for 12 years, and trust that he'll make the right call.

I don;t think Jones would have actually avoided the fight had it come to reality as far as Machida is concerned.
Just curious as well have you never questioned/complained about something one of your bosses asked you to do ?

My boss has asked me to do stuff that I didn't particularly want to do but he's the one that signs my pay check. At the end of the day, I have a job to do so I do it

| It's funny how this type of thing gets contorted.
Shogun did the same with Glover by saying he was still new to the UFC and didn't think the fight was the right decision....next thing you know, DW is saying he'd rather be cut than fight him and the internet is swearing one of the gutsiest fighters of all time is somehow afraid of him.
