Rich Franklin Discusses Cung Le Prior To UFC On Fuel TV 6 Fight

“What makes his kicks so effective is the fact that he doesn’t mind throwing them because his wrestling is so good,” said Franklin, during a recent appearance on Inside MMA. “He may not be much of an offensive wrestler in this fight, but it may be difficult to take him down. He’s a good defensive wrestler and that could come into play.”

Franklin and Le will be main eventing the first-ever UFC card to take place in China. The event goes down November 10 from the CotaiArena in Macau.

Franklin was always a beast at 185. I think he takes this and keeps working his way up the ladder. He deserves it to, he's pretty much been waiting 5 years for Anderson to lose the belt, maybe now he can get back in the mix while Anderson is doing his super fights.

Rich wins this...Rich has been in there with strikers like Wandy, Chuck and made it. Cung does not have the power that Chuck and Wandy have.

Rich has always had great cardio I think he beat Cung pretty easy.

I like this fight. I like Rich (former teacher), but I also like Cung. He has an exciting style. Nice kicks and good wrestling. I don't think this is a gimme for Rich. This will be a good stylistic match up. Not sure who I will pick.

Like most I have Rich winning this fight..But if for some reason Cung wins I'd love if the powers at be could have him face Belfort..Think that would have him sticking to movies.

Pretty much agree. While I don't think this is an easy fight Rich has fought through harder fights where Cung has not pulled through a hard fight to get the win. So I think Franklin can land shots and once he puts a little damage on Cung it'll be his to take.

I think the matchup it good for some exciting back and forth action and Rich will finish it.
