agreed and disagreed at the same time. First of, you're right about indica vs sativa vs hybrids but every person is different! I know people who can smoke indica heavy strains like Sour Diesels and play sports, wrestle and one of them I go triathlon training with and he does great. Me? I can't even take a hit of a sativa (or sativa dominant strain) and be able to do a physical activity. The only take that works is for the bicycle training and some light jiu jitsu training like takedowns and technique work.

UFC 149 wins for Riddle, Rivera overturned to no contests after positive drug tests

Victories at UFC 149 for Matt Riddle and Francisco Rivera will be wiped off the books and made no contests.

Officials with the Calgary Combative Sports Commission confirmed the news to MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) on the heels of the Thursday news that the pair had tested positive for banned substances.

UFC 149 took place July 21 at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Riddle's win came on the main card; Rivera won on the preliminary card.

As MMAjunkie.com reported earlier this week, Riddle tested positive for marijuana, while Rivera was flagged for an over-the-counter stimulant. Both were suspended for 90 days by the commission. Those suspensions expired on Friday since they were retroactive to the date of the fights.

What does this mean? Not a whole lot. He wants people to know that he uses marijuana for medicinal purposes. But it's still against the rules to have more than a trace in your system at the time you fight, and he apparently pushed it too far. Plenty of you will use the old adage "it's just weed, man". Go ahead. I don't think that's going to make Riddle feel any better about the NC on his record instead of a W.

why 90 days? seems incredibly short. ignoring all the "it should be legal arguments", dont most failed drug tests come with 6 months to a year?

I agree with snigs. I love to play ball, grapple, or do just about any sport when I used to do the marijuana. It would make me hyperfocused.!

Weed made me lazy. I didn't play sports, grapple, or do much of anything when I was smoking. The only thing I could focus on was eating.

Have you played sports while smoking? If you are being a sedentary slob, sure your body will have a different reaction to it.

Instead of having a desire to eat the entire refridgerator, you have the desire to do what you are currently doing. And yes, you become hyper-focused. Try BJJ or even the gym after one or two tokes. Or else you can retain your absurd beliefs.

You don't need to be a silly cunt and smoke a whole blunt. Else, you will be zombified. I won't drive with the kids in the car after a couple tokes but solo I will. I have no problem driving. Were I a retarded teenager again who takes 5 bong tokes then goes to drive home, yes it would affect my driving.

It's the equivalent of 1-2 beers vs. drinking an entire 40 and trying to drive if you decide to smoke trees then get in the car. Those people certainly do need to be fined. But, show me the deaths from marijuana compared to alcohol and I will scoff.

I let weed make me sedentary. It was a choice, admittedly a poor choice, but still a choice. Had I made myself be more active while smoking who knows.
