I like Barry as much as the next guy but I wouldn't signal out Shane just yet, the guy is dangerous and has never went to a decision....hopefully Barry wins but I think Shane takes this

Lytle's losses were mostly extremely competitive, though...far more competitive than Barry's losses plus he has a granite chin which people can respect.

I know you're not suggesting it, but as a rant: it drives me crazy when people suggest guys whose chins are worn out don't have "heart." Frank Mir, for example, who's just eaten too many shots in his life and can't absorb more HW punishment the way he has in the past. People accuse him of quitting in the JDS fight. It's biology and your brain shutting off, not heart. Really annoys me to hear people say that.

Is this the random rants thread??? Woops.

I truly believe SDR has the advantage wherever this fight goes. His striking is more technical and he's better at transition strikes. The way he can mix his knees, kicks, and punches are just awesome to watch. Who hits harder? Barry, but I also think SDR has the better chin.

I think he scores a TKO win in the second round. This coming from a huge Pat Barry fan.

Pat knows his place in the HW div. He don't have the body or the tools to be the champ, but he does have the ability to make people want to watch him fight. As S E said I compare him to Lytle too. Not up on Shane so not to sure of the outcome, but I do want to see a Kongo rematch. I think that fight could Co or headline a event these are the kind of Vanity fights the UFC can make and still be reputable. Not freely given for shit talking and TRT title fights.

I'd disagree with Mir as your choice as a guy with a worn out chin. Even when he was young, he was susceptible to getting put away in the 1st round, to the point where up until the Lesnar fight he had never lost a fight that went past the 1st round. He has a pretty long history of being a front runner.

Anyways, about the post, Rosario should win easily. Much taller, better muay thai credentials. He was destroying Miocic on the feet who is a pretty good striker. I'm a fan of Barry, but I think he's in for another tough night.

Rosario has a lot of potential, and he's coming into his prime. Can't wait to see more of this guy.

What does that have to do with what I said at all?

Cat was curious with a record like Barrys, why is he so popular. And like Chris Lytle, hes exciting to watch.
