| Koscheck Won’t Return Until 2013; Targets Diaz, Maia, Ellenberger or MacDonald Koscheck Won’t Return Until 2013; Targets Diaz, Maia, Ellenberger or MacDonald Quote:
Now that he’s healthy again, Koscheck was hoping to get scheduled for a fight as soon as possible, but according to the fighter’s latest message via Twitter, he’s going to have to wait until 2013.
“Doesn’t look like the UFC has a fight for me until 2013. So I’ll just train and get better,” Koscheck wrote on Tuesday.
| Quote:
“I’d like to fight Nick (Diaz), Demian Maia, Jake Ellenberger, Rory MacDonald, any of those guys will do it,” said Koscheck.
The former NCAA champion wrestler has even offered to venture back up to middleweight, something he’s done multiple times in the past when talking about stepping up when the UFC needed him.
“They know I’ll fight anyone,” Koscheck wrote. “I even said I’d fight at 185 if needed.”

I like all of those fights he mentioned. Maia would be my choice overall though.

Josh takes Rory down and GnP, similar to how Condit beat him.
Josh vs Diaz would be a great buildup and fight.
I think he gets Ellenburger though.
Diaz, Maia, Rory/Penn, and Fitch will be paired up.

Kos vs Diaz would be sick!
The back and forth mouth between the two would be great for TV!

I wouldn't mind watching him fight Ellenberger, curious as to how that one would play out.

I think Kos vs Ellenberger makes the most general sense.....Ellenberger needs a step up in competition, meanwhile Kos needs to prove hes relevant at Welterweight by disposing of a dangerous young fighter like Ellenberger.

Im liking Kos/Maia.
Maia needs a step up after running though Story.
Kos needs to fight a relative name
If Kos wins, hes still in the mix
If Maia wins they just might have themselves a new contender
Can Maia get the TD?
Will Kos shoot or stand?
How will Maia do with Kos's standup?
Theres just too many good reason and too many questions for me to not like it. I guess alot of that could apply to Ellenberger though.
