Jones hasn't shut the door on a potential meeting with Henderson, who was slated to fight the champ this past month at UFC 151 before a knee injury forced the challenger off the card.
"I'm not disappointed I didn't get the Dan Henderson fight," said Jones, who's also targeted for a super fight with middleweight champion Anderson Silva. "But I think that's a fight that's inevitable. Everybody wants to see it. Dan Henderson is undoubtably one of the best fighters in MMA history, and it will happen. Hopefully I'll fight Chael and then defeat Chael and then defeat Dan Henderson."
First, though, Henderson has to get by Lyoto Machida. They're expected to fight early next year in a title eliminator.
After that, if Jones sticks to his plan, it'll likely be time to move up to heavyweight. But if not, or if it's delayed until 2014, he'd like to test his chops against fast-rising contender Gustafsson.
"I think he's great," Jones said. I can't wait to fight him. A lot of people say the reason why I win is because I have long arms. When I fight Gustafsson, that will be behind me. So I can't wait to prove all the critics wrong."

Sounds good to me...
I hope Jones still fights Hendo, that is a fight that needed to happen... However if Hendo/Machida gets booked, we can kiss that goodbye imo...
Im big fans of Machida, Shogun, and Evans, but im not really interested in seeing any of them fighting Jones again... They are the best in the division, but dont fair good chances against Jones...
Id love to see Jones fight someone like Goose before he leaves... Give one of the up and comers a shot... But he will have to get through Shogun to even get his shot... If not another fight after that, based on the fact that Jones could fight Sonnen, then Hendo after that... If Glover wins his Next fight against a bigger name... Have Glover vs. Goose during that time to determine the next in line for Jones...
Dana said he talked to Dan, and they are not sure how he is doing... So maybe he will just hold out of his shot after all...

Sounds like Jones has a very busy year a head of him... Sonnen, Hendo or Goose, Silva and a move to HW.

There's no way he can face Sonnen, Hendo, goose, and silva in 2013. I don think Silva is even on his radar.
Jones wants to go to HW by late 2013, so he will probably have 3 more title defenses and then move up.
