interesting note is that the UFC was the ones that did the testing for this card, not an athletic comission. Correct me if im wrong but is this the first cases the UFC itself have done where they found someone(s) taking PED's?

And if that is the case, i wonder how hard they are going to come down on both fighters, i know bonnar is retired but he should still face a fine (and a big one at that since suspending him really doesnt do anything) but what about herman?

This was my first thought as well. Go out with a bang and figure the worst case is you get caught, but you can't do much else to someone retiring unless they fine him heavily.

I'm pretty sure it's happened before. I beleive there was a fight overseas (UK?) where Leban got popped, I could be wrong though.

Leben was busted when UFC did their own drug tests after his fight with Bisping.

I wouldn't be surprised if Herman is cut after this. He has lost 3 in a row in addition to this.

hahahaha so even with roids, they were humiliated by Anderson and Big Nog.

Cheater Bonnar is apparently retired. As por Herman, for sure he will be fired after this. 3 loses in a row, and a fucking cheater too.

So I rarely bother responding to your posts but how exactly was Herman cheating. What benefit or edge was he gaining in the the fight by his actions?

The black and white part comes from seeing fighters make any excuse in the book other then just owning up and admitting that they took them for the benefits. If they are taking them for a legitimate injury this needs to come to light pre-fight not after the fact when they get caught.

You do realize that in the case of Herman, marijuana is not "roids", right? I'd love to know how smoking a doobie in his leisure time is "cheating" for a fight. Please explain, as I am eager to see your logic (if there is any) behind labeling Dave a cheater.

Yeah but it's equally despicable when people selectively defend fighters who use substances that will in fact give them an unfair advantage, regardless of the excuse. Hell, for all we know, Overeem may have taken synthetic testosterone just to sharpen his physical appearance in hopes that his neighbor's wife lets him slice her pineapples.

Is Bonnar still part of the cast that does the FOX shows when they are on national tv? I bet he wont be on that anymore, as well as on the Fuel tv shows. This could come back to hurt Bonnar more than people think...

Because he can train more and his muscles will be more relaxed so he will get into better shape! Also, he will be able to meditate better when visualizing his victory.

Oh and..

Don't forget, it might make him a more creative striker and grappler, more willing to try and learn new things.

Not a real shocker about either of these, kinda obvious that Herman's on the herb(you'd HAVE to be high to say BJJ doesn't work) and Bonnar looked too damn good to be legit. With regard to the latter, I specifically remember a few people on here were commenting the week of the fight as to how his body looked far too cut with reference to the bitch-tits comment.

The interesting thing going forward will be to hear Dana's response to Bonnar, he may be retired but just imagine the potential controversy that would've occurred had he pulled off the upset?
