The UFC's light heavyweight champion will return to the city and venue he won his title at when he defends his belt against Chael Sonnen on April 27. UFC officials on Monday announced that bout will take place at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Though the event has not yet been given a number, it is expected to be a pay-per-view card.

Though the UFC had announced a date for the Jones-Sonnen fight this past month, a venue and city had not been announced.

The UFC on Monday also announced its four-card schedule for the FOX network, including a Jan. 26 show in Chicago, plus an international FUEL TV show in February.

Bad Move should have it in Vegas or possibly in Cowboys Stadium have Jones-Sonnen and Overeem vs winner of Cain-JDS make huge PPV numbers

They are trying to put pressure on NY to legalize MMA, that's why it's in Jersey.

Chael should have asked for the fight to be in California. That way Jones couldn't use those dirty kicks to the knee

the kicks are to the thigh, not the knee. they are not dirty, if you think they are dirty because of the potential for injury......there are many things that are legal and just as dangerous, paul haris has caused much more damage with his heel hooks than john has with that kick technique.

its a fight, if you dont like the technique, learn to avoid or counter it, its not like he is poking him in the eye or something.

It's to the thigh, but Jones hasn't used tha technique on any wrestlers. I don't see him trying to kick Sonnen, he has no reason too. His hands are more than adequate enough to beat Chael down with.
