They might announce the super fight after GSP Condit if GSP wins, however I still think that after the Jones Sonnen fight Silva is fighting the winner.

It just has the perfect set up no matter how you look at it. Hell, maybe they are trying to do both.

As far as big money / great PPV fights they'd be at the top.The UFC has spoke with the WWE in the past and it's showing.

Personally, I'm more jacked up to see GSP vs. Condit than I am about this supposed super fight. I'd be more jacked up to see GSP face the winner of Kampman/Hendrix as well.

I was listening to the SRN this week and it was either Jordan Breen or Greg Savage that said something along the lines of, about the only way Silva vs. GSP makes sense is if GSP loses to Condit. I know that's some backwards thinking but I have to say I kind of agree with him.

I don't understand why people would be excited to see Silva vs GSP. GSP's skillset be would heavily impeded do to the size difference, while Silva's would be enhanced.

If GSP was the amazing striker with top notch BJJ and Silva possessed the amazing takedowns and great top control, this fight would make a bit more sense.

The size difference just makes this an even worse stylistic match-up.

People want to see this fight for the same reason they want to see Silva fight Jon Jones despite the size disadvantage. They want to see two P4P greats go at it.

Fight fans do not like seeing dominant champions. After awhile they want to see that person succumb to defeat. This has never changed not even in comic books where the hero eventually lived long enough to get turned into the villian or suffer their demise at the hands of one.

It's called envy, hatred and jealousy. Every great fighter to date has met their demise except Mayweather, Ward, Calzaghe and a few others.

Its the nature of the beast.

I like how RoadDawg keeps downplaying the massive size disadvantage that GSP has against Silva and keeps talking about how unfair Jones size is over Anderson.

Soares just said 2 days ago that Anderson walks around at 225. GSP walks around at 190-195. You really think Jones normal weight is 255?

Anderson really is out of a comic book, the fighters hes faced in his career are a complete joke. Hes an overrated clown.

But Silva has fought and (impressively) beaten fighters at 205 before. And his skillset matches up fairly well with Jones. I think the odds would be pretty even for Silva vs Jones, whereas the oddsmakers would unquestionably favor Silva were he to face GSP.

Whether his opinions are sometimes misguided or not, at least RD puts in the effort to properly defend/debate his views.
