@RH

The other element to the equation is that GSP said he would not move up and down in weight, once he fights heavier he will stay and he has held firm on this for the past 2 years as well. He always gave the example that Roy Jones Jr moving up and down ruined his career.

If this super fight does go down it is very possible that GSP leaves the WW division. The only problem with this is there is still a huge fight with Diaz left and it seemed he really wanted to fight him. It also seemed from a non insider point of view that AS and Dana were cornering GSP into this fight and it was not a mutual agreement between all parties.

This is pathetic, with all due respect , fuck Anderson. Strip him of his title, let somebody else fight for it. Let him fight two more past their prime never has beens and retire. How can anybody defend these dumbass decisions is beyond me, I'm disappointed.

Tomorrow Anderson Silva will come out, and say he will fight Bones and GSP every month. Four days after that the Spider will fight Weidman, but only if he gets ownership of the moon. The next day he will say that he is gonna fight Rousey for the inter gender championship, and that Segal taught him to speak Portuguese. He will then demand a fight with Bisping in six years.

It is a shame that a person like has so much talent.

That's always been a quote I thought was completly stupid, and doesn't apply to actual sports. That being said, it's very hard to beat the man when he flat-out refuses to fight you, and chases vanity fights with smaller fighters instead.

I mean, come August of 2013, if Anderson hasn't defended and he's still listed as champ, he would be highly disputed in my perception. Champions defend, bottom line.

yeah...that's what ruined Roy's career.

I don't think Georges will be able to keep the weight on, personally. I can see him making a run at MW, but I think he'll retire, or move back to WW before too long.

To the guys who would defend him--the Anderson-or-die fanboys--the concept of him even needing defense is completely outside of their comprehension.

People talk of an intern belt but wtf is the justification of that? The champ doesn't feel like fighting? If Anderson wants to sit out for another year to fulfill other personal projects I say he should have to give up his belt.

I hope someone has told Anderson his movie with Seagal will suck balls and he should have stuck to fighting.
Yea he could give up his belt but do you really like the idea of having a disputed champion? Ric Flair's comment about being the man has never been more true especially in the fight business.

If this is true about him waiting until the end of the year I wish the man good luck with his projects. Meanwhile a true number 1 contender at mw needs to be established anyways. I don't see anyone beating Vitor at mw unless Rashad join the ranks.

First off, Im a huge AS fan. But if he actually plans on not fighting UNTIL THE END OF NEXT YEAR then he needs to be stripped of his title. PERIOD.

"Yea he could give up his belt but do you really like the idea of having a disputed champion?"

I like the idea of watching the champion defend his belt. Disputed or undisputed.

Well it looks like you will have to put your own personal ambitions aside. I would like to see him fight sooner but its his career not mines.

I would be just as happy watching the mw division work itself out anyways. The way I see the UFC owes him anyways for saving their little ppv when he didn't have to.

From a business perspective due to the whole superfight ordeal with GSP stripping that title away would just be stupid as fuck (assuming GSP beats Condit).

Me personally I dont give a fuck who they let hold the belt until someone actually beats Anderson Silva he is my champion just like Obama is my president.
