Gotta give him props for trying. You never know what kind of BS Dana will throw together if he's in the mood. I've seen far worse title shots. The mini-tourney really is the best idea though imo.
Of course all of this is just major speculation at this point since who knows what Anderson is really pulling.

I suppose nothing unlike Tim Bo whose fought nothing but the best competition with a stunning record of 20 fights with 16 wins.
It would appear the only thing missing from Bisping's track record at mw is opportunity unlike Tim and Weidman.

I'll be glad when Vitor Hendos Bisping, and this conversation dies.

Trolldawg at work.
Thanks for stating that he has been in many fights against top 10 fighters, yet came out the victor in only a single fight.

Bisping should be a comedian.
trolldog at work is the best thing I've read in a long time.

Hoss: Rashad Evans, Wanderlei Silva, Chael Sonnen were all very close fights.
Boetsch lost to Matt Hamill by TKO and Bisping beat Hamill (and don't give me that crap about how Hamill won, what did Hamill do in rounds 2 and 3?)
Besides Okami (wasn't Boetch losing badly until the ko/tko), who has Boetch beat? David Heath (coming off 2 losses) or maybe Kendall Grove (coming off 1 loss) are the next biggest wins for him.
Still not sure what to make of Lombard, he looked bad that night (I think it was also very close fight, had a lot of beer in me, am I wrong to think that Lombard should have won this one? sorry can't remember) and Lomards list of opponents, there are some really good fighters, but not many top 15 UFC level opponents (just took a look, Lombards opponents are actually a bit better than I remembered them to be).
Boetch might be really good at 185, I just don't think he has done enough yet. One or two more wins and I might agree with the hype, but so far, I just don't understand why everyone is calling him a number 1 contender.

So you list 5 good fighters, most beat his ass, and you think he will be competitive against Anderson?
Sounds like you want AS to get a free win to pad his record as much as AS himself does. Give us some more Batman quotes instead RD, your "legit" arguments fall short.

If after a year he wants to fight again he can choose to fight superfights (GSP/Bones) or go on a new title run, make him fight a top contender or 2 before he gets the title shot.
if only dana and co cared about something other than profits, I understand their side of things, they are in the business of making money and sometimes that means doing whats profitable rather than whats right (ala jones/sonnen) but I would love to see the boss put silva in his place
