| Erick Silva Returning At UFC 156, No Opponent Known Yet Erick Silva Returning At UFC 156, No Opponent Known Yet Quote:
Silva informed the UFC that he wanted a return match as soon as possible. The promotion has agreed, according to a recent interview Silva gave with Tatame. Quote: |
I enjoyed my family a bit in my time of rest after the fight, but unlike the other times, have resumed training well in advance. I asked my manager a fight as soon as possible, I want to keep my ballast training.
| Silva said he will be competing at UFC 156, but has no opponent lined up yet. He added that an opponent should be known “in a week or two.”

Big Erik Silva fan. I see him and Rory being #1 & #2 in the next 18-24 months.

Can't wait to see this guy back at it. Who do you think he'll be fighting? Mike Pierce?

I know it wont happen but 1st name that came to my head was Diaz but I guess he is going to get KOS.
But could you imagine what a fight between Silva/Diaz it would be fuckin insane.
If I had to guess. I think he draws the StunGun Kim..But I believe they will try to build Kim back up so E.Silva wouldn't be the guy for him.
So ya Pierce could be the safe bet or maybe the loser of Hendrix/Kampmann.

And I don't think you can say One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) is a better movie than Animal House (1978); they're different genres. I think they're both examples of great craftsmanship.

I see Silva smashing his next 3-4 opponents all with a name getting his rematch with Fitch dismantle him and get his shot at the belt.
So ya I do see them fighting again but not until Erick is a bit more seasoned.

Also I would like it if Erick fought more in North America. Every fight the guy had before joining the UFC was in Brazil for his home fans to enjoy.
Now that he is fighting in the UFC he's about to fight his 5th fight and it is to be his 4th in Brazil out of the 5? Seriously WTF is that shit? Visa issues maybe?
