So this is just Anderson asking for the fight... chasing GSP around...

Its not like Dana White himself asked Anderson to attend the fight...

Is it that hard to understand why Anderson would rather fight GSP than Weidman... GSP is a legend, one of the best ever... Add to that the huge piles of $ he would make from the fight....

but lets go with the idea that he is scared of Weidman, and GSP is somehow an easier fight.

It is also very strange to see a lot of the big time GSP fans give him such a little chance against Anderson... My guess is that they say it just to try and avoid the fight... they dont actually believe it... Buts thats just me analyzing something I shouldnt be trying to figure out...

As an Anderson fan, id be sweating bullets about that potential fight...

GSP has the best double in the game, very quick and explosive... He has excellent top control and is close to impossible to submit... He would have some good strength on Anderson... It would be a very hard fight for both of them... They are bigger threats to each other than anyone within their own divisions.

A question to all those asking for the Jones/Silva fight... why cant both fights happen?

I know im purely guessing, but I do have a suspension that should Anderson fight and beat GSP, he will go after Jones next... then end his career... He seemed to elude to that in his press conference imo...

Anderson/Jones most likely outcome is Anderson gets smashed... GSP fight loses most interest... Even if Anderson did win, people wouldnt want to see him move down, after just moving up to beat someone as dominate as Jones.

Anderson/GSP happens, and Anderson wins... The Jones fight can not only still happen, but gets hyped up even more...

Im sure the UFC is thinking the same way... They could potentially end up with 2 huge superfights... blockbuster PPV's... $$$$ for all involved.

If Anderson wants to chase vanity fights, DROP THE EELT. Very simple.
Was that fight ever even offered to him.... Its hard to condemn a guy for not taking a fight, when it hasnt been offered to him... and his Boss is seeking the same fight he is...

Could GSP beat Anderson? Yeah, but I'd put my money on Anderson. Anderson is much bigger than Condit even if their height is the same. Condit was able to land that headkick on GSP and I certainly think that Anderson would be able to find a way to rock GSP as well and Anderson would be able to finish GSP once GSP hits the mat.

pretty sure that headkick would have landed on anyone, it was a nasty combination.

Of course Silva could rock GSP, thats not in question at all, its if he ever gets the chance to do it i mean this was the first time GSP has been rocked since the Sera fight so he doesnt open himself to damage often. As good as Silva looked against bonnar, if he has his back on the cage GSP will take him down, Chael provided the blueprint, GSP will try to do what looks like the impossible and it will be a classic fight

If GSP were to beat Anderson... It would look nothing like the Sonnen fight... Other than the obvious takedown->top control->UD approach

GSP's wrestling and transitions are WAY different than Sonnens... His top game is far superior, as is his sub defense....

Would he be able to eat as many shots as Sonnen, and just bull rush through Anderson's space... Dont think so, dont see him taking that approach either.

I want to see Jones vs Silva while Silva is still in his prime! Dammit, how many "contenders" does he need to destroy? The dude is on a different fucking planet than the entire division. This fight needs to happen before Silva gets hurt or old in one night. This fight would take the UFC to a new level. Build it for a few months and make it for a huge weekend like Christmas or maybe even Superbowl weekend 2014. And do it at the cowboys stadium......cause I want to see that motherfucker for FREE!!!

Anderson is chasing GSP yet is looking at doing a shitty action flick. With these two things, the guy should relinquish his title.

Interesting... GSP filmed the movie before his fight with Penn, and it released shortly after their 2nd fight... Where he fought the smaller, LW champion.

Should he have relinquished his title as well? seems to fit your logic...

Hell, that movie sucked... the UFC should have made Anderson, GSP, and BJ all give up their belts.

Sadly, I watched that horrible movie and none of these guys had large parts that would have required more than a day or two of filming. I think GSP only lasted 2 mins in the movie before he was killed by the main character (unless there is another shitty movie with GSP as an underground cage fighter).

I think Silva's movie is the type where he's actually on screen for the majority of it and that could take upwards of a month. Rampage's acting might not seem that bad after we see the straight to DVD reviews of Silva's film.

Anderson Silva in a major role? scary....

We will have to see... I assume its another one of Segal's money grab stright to DVD type movies, and he got Anderson a small part because they are friends... to let Anderson get a small taste for the business...

I doubt we are going to see a lethal weapon type movie with both of them playing equal roles...
