If Diaz wouldn't keep burning every single bridge he may could of pulled it off. | Well it seems like your more fine with Chael getting it than you would be with Diaz.
But yeah I think he should have to win a fight when he comes back.

Thats right Diaz, stir up the pot and try to stay relevant.
Hendricks is a BAMF and most deffinetly the top contender. I honestly cant remember a contender having a harder road to the WW title...maybe any title.
Fitch had wins over Alves and Sanchez.(1 top ten, arguabley 2)
BJ Penn had 0 fights(0 top tens)
Alves had wins over Kos and Hughes(1, arguabley 2 top tens)
Dan hardy had wins over Mike Swick and Marcus Davis(0, arguabley 1 top ten)
Koscheck had wins over AJ and Paul Daley(0, arguabley 1 top ten)
Jake Shields had a win over Kampmann(arguabley 1 top ten)
Now Carlos Condit had a 5 fight win streak, with a alot of good names, but those names were'nt so established when Condit fought/beat them.
Jake Ellenberger-First fight in the UFC, not top ten. (Controversial win for Condit)
Rory Mcdonald- Second fight in the UFC, not top ten(Controversial win for Condit)
Dan Hardy- Lost to GSP, then fought Condit. I wouldnt call him top ten, but for the sake of argument lets say he was "arguabley top ten"
DHK-I wouldnt personally call him top ten for wins over Nate Diaz and Amir Sadollah., but again lets go with "Arguabley top ten"
Nick Diaz- 11 fight win-streak over some decent names, top ten.(Controversial win for Condit)
Then we got Johnny Hendricks.. who has wins over:
Mike Peirce by decision(not top ten)
Then Jon Fitch with a vicous first round KO(Deffinetly top 10, arguabley top 5)
Then Josh Koscheck by decision(Top ten, arguabley top 5)
Then Martin Kampmann by vicous first round KO(Deffinetly top 5)
Fitch/Koscheck/Kampmann>>>>>> Every other WWs road to the title. Possibly the hardest road in UFC WW history.
If they dont do GSP/AS next, Hendricks has GOT to be next in line....but we've seen crazier things happen.

I really do want to see Diaz and GSP fight but for the sake of at least the illusion of actually legitimacy, he needs to win one fight. And only after Hendricks gets his shot.

Ehh, being a company man isn't as important as winning fights IN MY EYES. Diaz has a better record and UFC Record, finishes his opponent more, gets finished less, and even with the close loss to Condit he has had a very good run the last 6 years or so.

I definitely dont see GSP vacating his belt after just getting back to the Octagon. The ball is clearly in GSP's court as far as this superfight goes, and I dont think he is going to be willing to play ball.
