We're talking about guys that are bigger, stronger, and have great takedown defense. Ya, ok, maybe he'd do ok against the Lavar Johnsons and Pat Barrys of the division but we're talking about the top ten. He won't do so well against Struve, Kongo, Bigfoot, or many others in the division.

I've been a big Garza fan since he scored that crazy semi-flying triangle. I wish him all the best in wherever he goes, always comes to fight.

It doesn't matter in any sport if you have a physical advantage over your opponent if you can't use it. Give him some credit for adapting his fighting to incorporate it effectively. Arguing that he wouldn't be successful without it is kind of a moot point because you really don't know that.
If reach was the be all and end all of success in MMA you wouldn't see guys like Stefan Struve being knocked out by Roy Nelson and guys like Garza would be unstoppable.
Do you assume a tall person is better at basketball then most? or do you wait to see if they actually have to have skills and abilities to make use of the height ?

That 10 inch advantage comes in very handy in those situations. When Rampage came forward, he literally started running. Getting headkicked by a much smaller Rashad, when he can barely reach you is also pretty bad.
Where Jones skill really shines is in his clinch game and top control, that's it. No way should ppl talk about him and Jds, Cain, or any other kinda "superfight".
Oh another thing, elbowing your opponents in the throat, putting your thumb in their throat, plus those knee stomps are dirty as fuck.

The only guy who comes close is Struve (Jones has 1" reach advantage). His reach advantage will still be there at HW, and it will still be very large.

JDS 77"
Cain 77"
Johnson 82"
Bigfoot 82"
Struve was recently measured again and ties Jones at 84.5"
Overeem 81.5"

Again your faulting him for using something he has the ability to do. If he doesn't have the reach to fall back on who is to say he doesn't use more head movement or other tactics. He uses what he has because it is there for him. You are faulting someone for having a physical gift and saying he wouldn't be good with out it. It's like saying Wilt Chamberlain wouldn't have been a great basketball player if he wasn't tall.
Pretty silly to knock a fighter for getting kicked by a very talented fighter with alot of quickness. Quote: |

| Why not he's proven his dominance at 205 same as Anderson and GSP have done in their division. While I wouldn't rank him as highly as them he is in a spot where some would like to see him face tougher challenges like some top heavyweights. Quote: |

| That's why he always has so many points and warnings given against him by the referees right...
I think we all get it at this point you don't like Jon Jones he's nothing without his reach etc... perhaps we could move on to something else. It's a bit of a broken record with you we don;t need to constantly be reminded of how much you dislike Jones and why when it's the same thing every time.

Look at Silva in his class, he's a big guy who uses head movement. Jones boxing is nothing, he uses mainly push kicks for distance. I don't care for Jones, but the nuthuggers who overrate the fuck outta the guy.
Just read Garza's comments, sounds like I'm not the only one who thinks his size has played a huge role in his success.
Oh and I'm not the only person who's seen Jones elbowing or choking his opponents with his elbow or thumb. In the shogun fight the ref told him to take his thumb outta shogun's throat. All I'm saying is simple, he will have a very hard time cracking top ten at hw, if he even makes it to top ten.
