That blows. I was looking forward to seeing Weidman in action again, and against an interesting challenger.

Is it just me, or does it seem like more and more injuries are occurring leading up to fights? Interesting that it seems to have started right around the time that the UFC introduced medical insurance for the fighters.........

unsurprisingly, you're still pimping revisionist history.

Because he's an idiot.

how is weidman not deserving? how many top ten wins does one need to become the #1 contender? bones was 12-1 with only one win over a top ten. i know his title shot was circumstantial due to injury but still.
For someone who doesn't want Anderson to face a wrestler, he can never win enough.

There are people who would jump at the chance to see Anderson/Bisping, when Bisping is two wins behind Chris. They'll make up some nonsense about why, they'll try to justify it any way then can, but it's really because they don't want Anderson to face a wrestler.

On the flipside you also have those that only want to see Silva fight wrestlers as they see no weakness in the other aspects of his game. People like this want Silva to either be tested or possibly smotherfucked into a UD.

Whatever it takes for Silva to get a UFC loss on his record and lose the title. Once this happens a rainbow will truly emerge from the clouds above. People like this are normally referred to as haters fueled by a combination of outrage, envy and jealousy.

How can you lose a belt you refuse to defend? How can you lose a belt when you hand pick opponents that best suite your style?

You just admitted that Anderson has a weakness that gets exploited by the fighters he is ducking or tries to duck and yet you say hes #1 p4p...

And in the middle, you have people who just want to see him act like a champion, who understand he'd probably beat Weidman regardless, and are saddened by his loss of integrity.

I'm in this category.

Any word yet on how long Weidman will be out?

Would love to see Bisping take on Boestch on short notice. If he won that he would have a legit claim to a title fight (or maybe not I have been on a rollercoaster and am not sure if what I am saying is legit).

Man, this sucks. I was really excited to see this fight put the #1 contender conversations to bed.

Tons of respect to Boetsch for being the company man, but jeebus this new fight makes ZERO sense.

Why do you have to take over this thread with your worthless shit? That's not what this article is about and you've beaten your opinion to death. Just let it go, you child.

Add one more to the club.

I think it could be flat out ugly when Weidman realizes just how good Silva's TDD has become and how much his little shots can rock you due to his accuracy. Though, if Silva doesn't fight past his last two on contract, we may never find out now.

Everyone has a weakness. You won't find a fighter walking the planet that doesn't but if you find one let me know so I can bow down and kiss his ass. Surely that individual must shit apples pies

Silva is the best mma fighter on the planet and that is not just something I am saying. His accolades and impressive victories speak for him.

I just want him to continue dominating until he retires. However if he does lose I want it to be against another legend. Very similiar to how you found peace in Fedor losing to someone like Werdum as opposed to Rogers.

Silva has always defended his title when the UFC told him to. He trains hard, he makes weight, he doesn't provoke any shit talking and he lets his skills do the talking for him. Showing up on time for his fight and doing his job in the ring is enough for me. Silva has the opportunity to be involved in some very entertaining fights but the hardcore fans only want to see him in the ring with wrestlers meanwhile every other fighter gets written off immediately.

This concerns me.
