fuckin jon jones.........
heres an article about it. Quote:
Long Island's Chris Weidman, one of the top UFC middleweight fighters, is out of UFC 155 next month with an undisclosed injury, Newsday has learned.
He was scheduled to fight Tim Boetsch on Dec. 29 in Las Vegas.
"It's awful," trainer Ray Longo said.
Instead, Boetsch will fight Costa Philippou, a teammate of Weidman's with Longo and Matt Serra. Philippou was supposed to fight this past Saturday against Nick Ring at UFC 154 in Montreal, but the bout was canceled that morning when Ring fell ill.
"Everything happens for a reason," Longo said. "I guess this is the reason." | http://www.newsday.com/sports/mixed-...-155-1.4249853

A change has been made to a potential No. 1 contender’s bout at UFC 155 as Chris Weidman has been forced off the show with an undisclosed injury.
Stepping into replace him with be his teammate Costa Philippou, who now faces Tim Boetsch at UFC 155 in December.

Sources close to the contest confirmed the new bout and injury to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday with verbal agreements in place for the fight.
Weidman’s withdraw from the fight comes after a very tumultuous past few weeks for the New Yorker after his house was destroyed in the melee of Hurricane Sandy. The upheaval obviously didn’t help Weidman’s preparation for the fight, and now he’ll be forced to the sidelines for some time off to recover.
In his place, Weidman’s teammate Costa Philippou will get the chance to face Tim Boetsch at UFC 155 instead.
Philippou was scheduled to fight at last weekend’s UFC 154 card in Montreal, but opponent Nick Ring came down with the flu just hours before the scheduled bout and was deemed unable to perform.
Now Philippou will face Boetsch in a middleweight showdown at UFC 155.
The initial report about the switch came courtesy of Newsday.com. Chris Weidman Out; Costa Philippou Steps In to Face Tim Boetsch at UFC 155 | MMAWeekly.com | Damn.

lame
I bet if Bisping wins he gets the next titleshot for sure now because its made out to be that Weidman needs one more win for a shot even though he doesn't.
