When does the new Bellator show start? I liked Sonnen's take on "reality" vs. competition and the fact that TUF is a tournament, etc. I agree though - more training/fights, less 'drama'/reality TV.

I was going to suggest that even though they were signed before their 21st birthdays - maybe Zuffa didn't let them fight until they turned of age. This isn't the case though. My best guess is that having alcoholic brand sponsors vs. sticking 19 and 20 year olds in a house full of booze they provide.. and then filming it and airing it on national TV.. is where the issue comes in.

I'm with you on this, I really like watching the prospects develop in the game. Although, I have trouble watching the drama of the current season, especially the mohawk kid. I don't enjoy that at all :/

Maybe we'll finally get a drama-free season with Bellator. I still want one season of these shows to focus on training and diet, really showing what the guys are doing, how they adjust to it, etc. In addition to the content being something I care about, I do think it's difficult to stay regimented like that and reveals a whole human lens to the difficulty of being a fighter.

the first season of TUF was the only one that didn't suck. They've gotten progressively worse since than, and fell right off the shelf after the comeback season. They developed a formula: get dumfucks drunk, watch them create melodrama and/or wreck house.

I've found the house footage unwatchable for years.
