I'd much rather see Minowaman/Baroni III on NYE, that is a fight that would be hella fun to watch.

They need Gegard to "fill out" the middleweight division? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the division pretty stacked as it is? Especially since the champ doesn't want to fight any of the top contenders.

Personally I think that a title fight should always be the main event. As far as putting the women's title fight after the Hendo/machida bout being a mistake I am missing your logic. I doubt anyone will change the channel after paying fifty five bucks to watch the event. Besides once you've paid for said event I'm pretty sure that neither Zuffa or the cable company care if you turn it off. You've already paid.

I see where your comming from, keep in mind all of the buyers that planned on buying the PPV event assume Hendo vs Machida will headline it. I just think the UFC is taking a huge risk having the Ronda Rousey fight surpass the Hendo and Machida fight. I assume its going to be the first female fight in the UFC considering none else have been scheduled yet, not to mention there are many unknowns to Woman's MMA as far as the casual UFC fan goes. I'm all for Women's MMA but I think having a few smaller fights with "not as popular women" fight first so the UFC can gather an expected outcome on what to expect with scheduling a Ronda Rousey fight. Perhaps its not a mistake, but its a huge risk. If something unexpected were to happen from this fight, considering its the main event, I think it will effect the company long-term as opposed to it only being a co-main event or even any fight on the main card.

I would venture to say Ronda is way more popular at this point in the US than Hendo and Machida.
