Dana White had no problems with threating to cut Anderson Silva after his fight with Maia. The UFC doesnt care about big names. They have a history of cutting guys after consecutive losses.

No single employee is bigger than the UFC. Silva I think understands this which is why he often says its not his decision its Danas (he is right).

Come on man. Has anyone ever been cut for declining a fight? Let alone a couple of their biggest draws? That's not going to happen. Moving on and marketing the next big thing is not as simple as it sounds. The UFC's track record at creating stars at the level of GSP, JJ and Anderson in the past couple of years is not good. At the end of the day if they can't make the fight happen the UFC knows where their bread is buttered and will move on and do their best to find other fights for these guys. It's a no brainer.

I say good for GSP. The one question I had regarding the superfight is what was in it for Georges? He had a lot more to lose than to gain out of this fight. Watching him fight Condit (and Shields for that matter) made me realize that Georges just isn't a middleweight. His frame is built for 170. Even if he were to defeat Anderson, then what? What would there be left for him to do? Go back to 170? Move up to 185, continue to fight bigger, stronger fighters where the risk for injury and his health would further be put on the line. No. He should stay at 170 where he belongs, Anderson is welcome to join him there. If he wants to move up and fight Anderson, Anderson will be the first to know. Until then, I'm hoping the end of this topic is near.

While I hope this will shut AS and soares up and entice them to do what champs are supposed to do and defend the belt i highly doubt that will happen. they'll prob call out the winner of Ben Henderson/Nate Diaz and say that is the biggest challenge available or some dumb shit. If AS wants to cement his legacy with a superfight he needs to realize he might have to take the path of most resistance and MOVE UP to challenge bigger guys instead of acting like a schoolyard bully who always wants the lil guy.

I dont get why GSP is removed from these discussions... He is always in the P4P and GOAT discussion... When does he have to move up, and why isnt he being called to move up to prove his status, while Anderson is?...

I want Anderson vs. Jones to happen as well, but if it does happen before GSP/Silva... that fight will never get made...

Most likely outcome is Anderson gets crushed and takes a hit because of it, and Jones "beat up the smaller guy" like he is used to doing... while GSP slides up the list by not moving up himself... Im sure thats how plenty of the casual fans/dummies would view it.
