Penn gassed in the 2nd round after Diaz landed 2 massive body shots while Penn was up against the cage. Penn was actually doing an awesome job with the standup against a boxer with longer reach then those 2 body shots came and he instantly wilted away.

I highly doubt Diaz would go straight to a title shot, especially since Hendricks got a highlight reel massive KO. As for as #1 contender fight, I think if you came off a loss but still proved your skills in the past and have to get through a really tough opponent to get a shot I am all for it.

I think its actually more deserving if you beat one guy that is really highly ranked to get a title shot rather then fighting 3 guys that are softly top 10 ranked to get a shot.

Not sure if anyone else saw this, but Koscheck called out Nick in an article on UFC.com:

“It’s going to be bad guy versus bad guy,” Koscheck said. “We haven’t seen too many of those matchups in the UFC. I feel like the Nick Diaz fight needs to happen and I’m pushing for it. I told the UFC that is the fight I want. He’s a guy who supposedly beat Carlos Condit in his eyes and he still feels he can beat Georges St-Pierre.

“He’s tweeting about it and feels he is the number one guy. Well guess what? Don’t be scared homie. I’m waiting for you. I’ve called him out and I haven’t heard him call me out yet. This isn’t personal with Nick Diaz. I see him as a tough fighter and I want to test myself. I want to put myself right back into the mix of things by beating Nick Diaz.”

I don't see Kos fighting GSP ever again and he could beat Diaz so I don't think the UFC or Diaz would take a risk like this and make this fight. Trash talk would be funny though.

Im a huge Diaz fan and I absolutly would be pissed if he came back into a title shot, Shit Id be pissed if he came back and fought Hendricks. He needs another top 10er thats not named GSP or JH to see where he stands. Point Blank.

I dont even like Frankie getting a shot at Aldo am Im probably one of the biggest Edgar fans on here.

I can have a favourite fighter but not agree with everything they do. (I know its a gift.)

Kos isnt that stupid to try and land the one big shot on Diaz. Im almost certain that Kos would dump Diaz on his head and control him for however long it took.

Diaz struggles against wrestlers, and if he feels hes the #1 contender then he should have fixed these "holes" in his game and dominate a lesser opponent shouldnt he.

I want to hear Diaz's reaction and comments. He isnt one to back down from a fighter calling him out.
