Despite a pair of high-profile injuries – again – Strikeforce's next card continues to soldier on.

A pair of previously reported fights now are official for "Strikeforce: Champions" in January as former titleholder Gegard Mousasi (32-3-2 MMA, 3-1-1 SF) meets Mike Kyle (19-8-1 MMA, 3-3-1 SF) and Ryan Couture (5-1 MMA, 5-1 SF) takes on K.J. Noons (11-5 MMA, 3-3 SF).

Strikeforce officials on Wednesday announced the bookings.

"Strikeforce: Champions" takes place Jan. 12 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City with a main card airing on Showtime following prelims on Showtime Extreme.

The card, which has been reported to be Strikeforce's last, was expected to feature a lightweight title fight between Gilbert Melendez and Pat Healy in the main event and a co-feature middleweight title fight between Luke Rockhold and Lorenz Larkin. But both Melendez and Rockhold, who each pulled out of their previously booked Strikeforce title defenses with injuries, are still on the mend.

I'm not holding my breath. Two events have been cancelled in a row now. I'll believe this card is actually going to happen the day of the weigh ins.

With that said, IF all goes as planned this is shaping up to be a pretty insane card.
