Comments like those are the real reason of why she is in the UFC.
Funny thing is that when she was not that famous, she was saying things like "I will never pose nude because of what my future children would think". And look at her now. Already posed naked for ESPN, talks all the time about how much she loves sex, and I bet that in 2013 or 2014 she will pose for Playboy.
She is a great fighter, kinda shame that she has to portray the image of a whore.
But that is unfortunately how the world works. If Gina Carano (who is 100x more beautiful than Rousey) made comments about sex, she would have been in the UFC 3 years ago.

She refuses to do so and will have much success because of it. Sex has become less taboo and it is a good thing. There are lines that can be crossed but she did not cross them in this instance. There's little doubt that she will say less tame things then this in the future.
But, great PR and the will to say anything that comes to her mind that may be controversial is what brought Rousey into the UFC. Everyone understands how and why the UFC is taking this risk of investing in WMMA. It's a matter of whether or not the average MMA fan will take the women seriously.
I am not sure sexualizing WMMA is good starting point but it's the optimal way to sell it, I think.
