With just one week before the UFC returns to Seattle, yet another preliminary card fight has been scrapped as TUF: Live winner Michael Chiesa has been removed from his bout with Marcus LeVesseur.

The injuries and illnesses continue to wreak havoc on UFC on FOX 5's preliminary card. After Brendan Schaub vs. Lavar Johnson was scrapped as the leading prelim fight on FX, Michael Chiesa vs. Marcus LeVesseur became the new "feature fight". As of today that is no longer the case, as Chiesa has been forced off the card according to the UFC's official twitter account.

If you're keeping score, that's the 7th different preliminary card change. There's no word on a replacement or if there will even be one on such short notice.

Chiesa won TUF: Live by submitting Al Iaquinta, and the Washingtonian was given a chance to fight on a local UFC show against Rafaello Oliveira, but Oliveira was injured and LeVesseur replaced him. Now it's Chiesa off the card and it likely forces the UFC to reshuffle the bout order yet again.

Sucks losing these two fights, but at least the main card is hanging tough. Four days and a wake up for my most anticipated card of this year. Great free card, hope there are no more injuries.

Agreed man. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Siver/Phan looks to be on the Facebook prelims. I think it deserves the bump up to the featured prelims.

Dam Chiesa was my SOTN pick too. I thought it was pretty good odds he'd get a choke.

Are you serious? If I had known that Siver vs Phan was going to be on Facebook I would have expressed my outrage before now. That's my pick for FOTN. Hell, I'd almost rather see that than the main event.

I've spoken to a couple people "in the know" and when asked why some of these better fights are on the FX/Fuel prelims and not the main card/PPV undercard, I've been told it has alot to do with having a few mid-level draws on those prelims, so they attract viewers and aren't just considered time filler. That considered, I'm still really surprised Phan/Siver wasn't on the televised prelims, seems like a no-brainer.

Yeah, I get adding some name value to the televised prelims to add some interest but Phan/Siver should not be buried on Facebook. The only thing I can think of is that this fight was originally moved to the card from the canceled 151, albeit in the form of Siver/Yagin. Perhaps that had something to do with its placement. Regardless, I'm actually going to this event and even with the two fights that have been canceled it's still an 11 fight card. There's still lots of action on the prelims and most importantly the main card has remained intact. I can't wait!
