I do not understand why UFC has made such a mismatch.
If they could not sign Cyborg, then they could have signed Mcmann, or even make a rematch with Miesha Tate.
Carmouche will not last 1 minute.

Jones vs Belfort
Anderson vs Bonnar
Jones vs Chael
Teixeira vs Maldonado
Rousey vs Carmouche
It is just that they are supposed to be the most serious org, and to make fights that make sense.
I would love so much Carmouche to win. It would be even more epic than when Petruzelli defeated Kimbo and ruined a whole org in the process.
Obviously if Liz wins, UFC will not dissapear. But it would be a huge low blow to their plans with the WMMA division.

| Miesha Tate calls bullshit on turning down Ronda Rousey UFC fight - MMAmania.com Quote:
No one wants to fight Ronda Rousey.
That's what Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White wants you to believe at least. When he presented "Rowdy" with her official UFC title and announced her first bout inside the Octagon, at UFC 157 on Feb. 23, 2012, in Anaheim against Liz Carmouche, he implied "GirlRilla" was given the honors because she was the only one who would accept the offer for the fight.
Miesha Tate is here to call bullshit on that. Quote: |
"It was said by Ronda and I felt it was implied by Dana (White). Dana had said that Liz (Carmouche) was the only one that stepped up and had wanted the fight and wanted to take it and what not and, you know, excuse my language, I don't usually talk like this, but I call bullshit. It's absolutely bullshit. I was never offered the fight. So whether Ronda is misinformed or she's going on another one of her tangents to get publicity, it's absolutely not the truth. I was never offered the fight and you have to be absolutely crazy to think I would ever turn down the opportunity to be the first women's MMA fight in the UFC and for a rematch with Ronda at the same time. I mean, they say you can't have your cake and eat it too, that would kind of be like having your cake and eating it too. I would have taken that in a heartbeat."

| Despite Weight-Cut Issues, Cristiane Santos Anticipates Future UFC Clash with Ronda R Despite Weight-Cut Issues, Cristiane Santos Anticipates Future UFC Clash with Ronda Rousey Quote:
"It was too little time to cut that much weight. I'm heavy, I always was. When I started fighting I weighed 154 pounds, and now I'm about 160 pounds without fighting. Dana already said he will just have the bantamweight division for now. I understand, there are not that many fighters in my division (145 pounds). So I'll make the effort to cut down. Who does not want to fight in the UFC?" she said.
Rousey was aware of the problems facing the Brazilian, but “Rowdy” did not spare her at last Thursday’s UFC on Fox 5 press conference, hinting again that “Cyborg” was afraid to fight her. Santos says the highly-anticipated duel is only postponed.
"She keeps saying that I'm running, but (anyone) who knows me knows that I never run from anyone. If it was up to 145 pounds, I would fight tomorrow. But it's not that way, and to cut down to 135 pounds I have to follow a plan just right. It's better for me to fight at bantamweight because the division has more fighters,” she said. “I'm looking for the right diet, the best way to lose that weight. I'll make that fight with Ronda happen. I'll give my best."
Like many of her female counterparts, Santos is thrilled that women will finally be allowed to compete in the UFC.
"It shows the state of female MMA today. It's time to take off. More fighters will now appear, even in my division," she said. |

| Damn it Pashak. I don't normally get pissed about shit, and I do like you, but c'mon man......(NFL anyone), but for real, comparing Rousey to Kimbo. I know Rhonda has a lot of hype, but she is an olympic athlete, she is gonna merc Carmouche (who I like as a fighter), and yes I will keep using commas.

Mr. MMA News Poster, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone at this forum site is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
