God forbid someone deserving of a title shot actually gets a title shot...
GSP will get injured, then they'll make Diaz vs. Hendricks. Diaz will lose that too.

Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone, but what I am trying to get at is that I don't think Diaz will trigger a significant spike in buys. | Could you imagine a better foil to GSP then Nick? I could see the commercials now " where you at MF!". I completely understand the outrage on these forums over this, but it's not like Damien Maia getting a shot. Nick barely lost (razor thin) after he was already suppose to fight GSP.

You are right Diaz is the Joker to GSP's Batman, but this is a sport not a comic or movie. If the Yankees make the world series this year, I guarantee you that they will not be playing the Red Sox just because of their rivalry (and both being in the American league could pose a problem too).

ya know, i do really want to see this fight and all.....but what in the fuck happened to the integrity of the ranking system? they merge with Strikeforce and start doing exactly what that shitty org did. hand fighters title fights right after a loss. yeah, makes a lot of sense to me. lolz ......sad times.
*EDIT* (please dana white get hit by a train, please dana white get hit by a train!)

Two more words...
fuck this.
I lied. This is complete bullshit but I am not surprised in the very least. Too bad I can't be like the fools or casual fans who don't care. Ignorance is bliss.

Diaz has a better chin than Kampmann and as absent as Diaz's head movement is, he's also less hittable than Kampmann. Hendricks faded a bit at the end against Kos, so how would he do in 5 rds vs Diaz if he didn't KO him early...Hendricks pretty much had grappling stalemates with Kos, Pierce, and Story...would be interesting to see him go against somebody really good off their back. Waldburger is pretty good but not on the level of Diaz. Quote:
