I agree that Diaz is a big draw, and a fight with Anderson would be the biggest draw, but the biggest risk.

IMHO, Hendricks has the best chance to beat GSP of any WW on the planet, but I'm not convinced that's the reason GSP is "ducking" him. I think Nick got under his skin, and it's personal between them, and GSP is just being honest when he says that Diaz is the guy he wants to fight next. I think the criticism should be directed at the people who call the shots.

Anyone remember how pissed Nick made GSP? I've never seen GSP even remotely that pissed off.

GSP/Diaz is the WW fight I've most wanted to see for YEARS now, I was so excited to see them originally matched up and think that the striking and grappling matchup will be awesome. Diaz is GSP's grudge match, he is the last name to add to GSP's list that will cement his all-time WW legacy... for me, Diaz will be GSP's Sonnen 1 if you will. IMO, Diaz is the greatest challenger to GSP's title at the moment and I for one think that it would be an incredible fight.

That said, I'd feel bad for Hendricks to a degree, but I really could care less about him fighting GSP as I think he gets tore up BADLY. Also, let's not forget that for every awesome Fitch and Kampmann flashbang KO, there are clunkers like the Kos, Story and Pierce in there on Hendricks' recent record, which really don't give me too much confidence in his chances against GSP.

I'd offer Hendricks a compromise: fight Marquardt for the SF WW championship, give him a nice payday and then set up a WW unification bout between GSP and Hendricks....

If Anderson Silva isn't getting the GSP superfight, can't he really duck Weidman? Aside from Bisping beating Belfort, does anyone else at 185 have a legit claim to fight Silva next???

Why not? GSP can duck Hendricks, apparently. The UFC titles are meaningless as long as they let champions pick their opponents.

I have no problem with it as long as it's a non title fight. Hendricks deserves the next title shot especially over Nick, but a vanity fight I'd be happy to watch it.
