Lightweights Jim Miller and Joe Lauzon were subject to out-of-competition drug testing in advance of UFC 155, the Nevada State Athletic Commission recently informed MMAjunkie.co.
Both fighters passed tests for steroids and diuretics, NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer said.
Miller and Lauzon meet on the main card of the pay-per-view event, which takes place Dec. 29 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

What's an "out-of-competition" drug test?
Does that just mean pre-fight as opposed to post-fight testing?

Nice to see more of this happening step in the right direction now i only they could do random testing when there are no actual matches signed for that's where you are more likely to catch the cheaters.

Picked a good couple guys to drug test to help make the sport look good. Both guys are clean fighters and all around good examples for the sport

I believe currently only the NSAC does the "Out of competition" drug testing... events held in say, California would not be subject to this.
This is how Overeem got busted... remember when he tried to duck out the back door after the pre-fight press conference?
