Saturday's "UFC on FOX 5: Henderson vs. Diaz" card drew an announced attendance of 14,412 fans for a live gate of $1,522,600. |
UFC officials announced the figures at the show's post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie.com (MMAjunkie.com) attended.
UFC on FOX 5 took place at KeyArena in Seattle. The four-fight main card aired on FOX following prelims on FX and Facebook.
While the number of complimentary tickets issued was not revealed, the figures represent an average of $105.65 in revenue generated per ticket issued.
In the main event, UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson defended his belt with a dominating decision win over Nate Diaz.
In the co-feature, Alexander Gustafsson may have paved his way for a shot at the winner of April's light heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen when he beat up Mauricio "Shogun" Rua en route to a unanimous decision win.
The UFC's previous trip to Seattle drew a crowd of 13,741 fans for a live gate of $1.2 million. That event, UFC Fight Night 24, was then a record for a "Fight Night" event for the promotion.
The Washington State Department of Licensing will release official attendance and gate numbers in the coming days.
