If Hendricks wants a title shot so badly then he needs to get popped for a banned substance, get arrested then tell everyone that the mailman spiked his Cheerios and then he'll get his shot. Screw this whole beating top fighters and shit. What's does he think this is? The UFC? Nope. He fights for the Ultimate Full of Crap.

I don't blame GSP for his interest or even his request for this fight. I'm not going to knock a fighter for taking an interest in his career and having an opinion. The onus for match making is on the UFC, not Georges. If they make the fight, they should carry the burden of our disapproval not Georges. Same goes for Hendricks. He's got every right to be pissed off and express his frustrations but they should be directed at his employer, however.

If the fight is indeed made, that will make 3 title fights in the new year with the respective challengers coming off of losses. That doesn't just not sit well with me, I think it's fucking ridiculous. A really bad precedent has been set and Zuffa needs to pull their heads out of their asses and look at the big picture. Somebody at Zuffa needs to grow a pair and tell both Nick and Georges that Nick needs to go win a fight before he gets a shot. Just one fight. If only for the formality, for the illusion of actual legitimacy. Meanwhile, Georges can fight Hendricks and bam, you have his next two fights laid out. Pop a couple of 750,000+ buy rates and everybody is happy.

In other words if Hendricks wants GSP sooner than later then perhaps he needs to follow the successful blueprints of Sonnen, Kos and Diaz.

Drama and controversy not only sales but it makes a fight more mareketable, puts asses in seats and makes Dana and the UFC a lot more money. Hendricks better get off his ass and stop being humble like Weidman.

Come on man, I'm not saying EVERYONE on the forums shares the same opinion in both cases. That wasn't the hasty generalization you're making it out to be. What I mean is there is a noticably higher percentage of posts singling out Weidman as the clear-cut #1 contender at MW than there are for Hendricks at WW. And IMO there is no question who the WW contender should be, while I do see reason for debate at MW that Weidman should get one more win (which is moot now, as a result of his injury).

I just get a kick out of all the people on this board who said earlier in the year that hendricks deserved the next title shot over anyone else are now making fun of him and joking at his expense because he decided to speak out about getting screwed on a title shot.

you guys would be pissed too if you busted your ass to get so far and all of a sudden couldnt get the shot for the same reason.

i laugh when all of you people so called "Fans" who act like they are so called experts in the field of MMA blow your mouths off on any subject and flame the fuck out of people who dont agree with your GSP is god so if you dont hang off his nutsack or are'nt sucking him off, you arent a true MMA fan or what not.
