| Add an extra quality to a fighter
This thread is dedicated to the "what ifs" when it comes to a fighter and a characteristic that they may lack. It could be fighters from the past or present. Basically like this...
What if the Diaz brothers were strong wrestlers, too?
What if GSP had one shot KO power?
What if BJ Penn was big and strong with endless cardio?
What if Jon Jones had pinpoint accuracy and speed in his strikes?
What if Sonnen had top knotch submission defense?
What if Sonnen had KO power in his GNP?
What if Lesnar had elite level striking and never became ill?
What if Fitch had lightning fast submissions from all over the place?
What if JDS had explosive takedowns?
I could go on but you get the picture. Hopefully you guys will think of some better ones.

upon returning to the ufc after the lyoto fight if bj had stayed at 155 he would have always been in shape he would be in the upcoming super fight aldo vs bj penn, with penn being the favorite and long time reigning champ with more defenses than anyone else, but the constant up and down and frankly the conveneince of weighing in at 167-170 fully hydrated and fully fed was counter productive.

Give Arlovski an iron chin (Mark Hunt style), and he's still heavyweight champ. Delusion? Maybe, I'm an unabashed Arlovski fanboy.

I think Penn was plenty big for a LW. I think his cardio and his mental state were the biggest detriments. I think his refusal to adopt any type of game planning till MMA had caught up--and passed him--was critical as well.
What if Fedor had adopted a regimen that had leaned him out to within reach of LHW? [Let's just go ahead and assume that in this alternate universe you're suggesting, the Fink took the path he was truly destined to perform and produced lo-quality Russian porn with mail-order bride-wanna-be's]
What if Anderson wasn't hobbled by soares, and made enough money where he literally gave not a single fuck, and felt comfortable enough to challenge himself against whoever, whenever, wherever?

Rampage having intelligence. He has/had all the tools he just never went to a good training camp and never learned how to throw anything but punches.

What if Fedor started training kickboxing right after Pride folded instead of after the Bigfoot fight? I think he would still be one of the best HW's in the world.
One that I would have personally loved; Chris Lytle having serious power. He always threw bombs but he didn't really have the power to put guys away. If he had power like Kos or Hendricks... Well, he would have lots of ridiculous KO's on top of all of his great fights and subs. I miss that guy.

This one is still possible to develop, I suppose, but Tyrone Spong with elite level takedown defense dominates the LWH division. And yes, I'm including Jon Jones in that group. (Same could be said about a ton of kickboxers...no-one would stand with Carnage Corbett)
I'm probably getting off topic because taking away injuries isn't really adding a quality, but a healthy Bas Rutten would have been scary.
Kampmann with quality gameplanning more than likely has a different win/loss record.
Frank Mir with high level wrestling is a terrible match up for anyone.
Dean Lister with elite striking...just picture that. (Could be changed with Vinny Magalhães)
Give Ken Shamrock his knees back and the end of his career looks different for sure.
