Vitor should win this, if he catch Jon Jones in submissions I'd imagine he can catch Bisping in one if Bisping decides to take him down (where I believe is Bispings only chance of winning)....I think Vitor is too technical to fall for Bisping's stick and move style.......However if Bisping gets past him, he definitely should get respect from everyone

Boetsch deserves the next shot since Weidman is out.

I have no respect for the matchmaking of the top tier fights which are chosen based on marketability rather than rankings.

I doubt Vitor would get the shot after beating Bisping.

It's quite obvious why Anderson's camp would want Bisping. It's the same reason why GSP's camp wants Diaz. No, it's not because of their attitudes.

Bisping's jitz is lightyears ahead of Jones, and it's not even his strength.

As far as Bisping's only chance being taking Belfort down, he's got 4 or 5 inches of height/reach on Belfort and a great gas tank. Belfort is not known for cardio.

Belfort's boxing and handspeed is outstanding, but he's not a complete striker. He doesn't have great kicks, he doesn't defend kicks well, and look for Bisping to use them to keep distance and establish his length.

The reason Bisping is disrespected has nothing to do with his skills. It has more to do with his prickish arrogance and relentless self-promotion to the point of overhyping himself. It's entirely a judgement of the character--or lack thereof--that his PR displays. A win won't do a lot to change this if it's followed with an atypical presser for him.

The good news for zuffa is that Bisping comes off as so unlikeable, they may even get to market Anderson as the good guy. That would be a sight to see.

I was more referring to how everybody puts down Bisping for not beating a top 10 guy, yeah, he comes across as a prick, but I meant that if Bisping does get passed Vitor, a lot of people should realize that he is officially a contender, perhaps even shooting himself in the top 4 if he makes Vitor look bad, I don't recall Bispings jiu-jitzu really being tested in the UFC so we'll have to see, I think Vitor can sneakily catch Bisping in a submisison. Vitor has good jiu-jitsu but we rarely see it. I just don't see Bisping being able to apply his typical standing gameplan of stick and move, if Wandrelei was able to tag Bisping a few times, Vitor I believe will put him to sleep

Bisping will get kudos for a win, but to most here it is not enough to rise above Boetsch in the rankings IF both win their respective matches.

I am going to assume that we will not hear anything about either GSP or Silva's next opponent until both middleweight matchups happen. If Bisping wins, I would wager that Anderson Silva/Bisping and GSP/Diaz will happen. Why? Same reason Jones is fighting Sonnen.

I think Bisping wins this. Vitor's a southpaw and isn't known for his right hook so Bisping's tendency to circle to his left isn't as big a risk compared to fighting an orthodox guy with a big right hand. Bisping can use kicks to keep his distance and will find a home for his crisp straight right once Vitor starts to slow. He'll probably mix in some takedowns to tire Vitor out and cement rounds: his top game is good enough to stay out of trouble and he'll be on alert for submissions after Vitor nearly caught Jones.

Bisping by UD, with Vitor looking pretty beat up but not really damaged at the end. Soares will immediately claim that Bisping is the number one contender, with the unspoken implication being that Weidman and Boetch can go and literally fuck their own faces.

Rule 3: NEVER attempt to mediate in a flame-war between GSP and BJ Penn nuthuggers debating GSP/Penn II. It won't end well.
