not a good move for gilbert. Bendo would make him look absolutely silly. Rockhold vs Silva would be awesome! I'd expect silva to beat Rockhold but not very easily.

I thought Gil looked great in the 2nd thompson fight and the kawajiri fight but as Fedorlei noted, his last couple fights haven't been that great.

...But those weren't exactly fights to get super excited for or anything, imo, when there are so many better fights for him.

But Gilbert vs Eddie A. would be cool. I think it makes sense for them to do a #1 contenders fight and I honestly think Eddie would have a good shot at beating Bendo.

I'm a massive Alvarez fan, but it's funny, look at prospective matchups, I think Eddie gives Bendo more trouble than Gil, however think Gil gives Eddie more trouble.

Eddie's chin is always going to be something of an issue, however he's really changed up his camp with the Blackzilians and I think the next Eddie, will be the best.

I don't think the Strikeforce guys have really shown they should get immediate title shots at this point. The caliber of competition and the infrequency of them actually fighting doesn't warrant it in my opinion.

As others have mentioned Alvarez would be a good match up to start for Gilbert if he wins that then give him a title shot. Course winning matches before you get a title shot is not exactly required in the UFC anymore.

Either way Bendo wins vs Gilbert easily

Alright I don't wanna hear no shit out of noone when Luke Rockhold gets to the UFC and gets an immediate title shot with Silva.

If Gilbert can do it surely Luke can too

He's better off dropping to 145 because the size advantage and cardio of bendo will negate anything Gil could hope to accomplish against the champ it's a terrible matchup for him he besides he hasn't even performed like he's even a top 5 lw I'd rank Alvarez higher
