With Werdum in a position to get the next title shot and Cormier coming over finally they have a couple guys in place already for the title shots so they don't need Reem as much as they did before.

Yea I don't think Dana is saying that Werdum will get the next shot at the title but if he wins in June he'll get a shot at the belt. That would still leave time for a JDS vs Overeem bout. Even if Overeem loses he'll probably still get a shot since it seems the way you get a title shot is to have a suspension and a loss on your most recent outings.

I really don't care for Werdum getting a title shot. I really don't wanna watch the guy dropping on his back begging jds to jump in his guard. I lost all respect for Werdum after that bullshit.

But then once Bigfoot beats Overeem who the hell is going to fight for the belt, assuming DC will be probably scheduled to fight Mir. I say give it to "the war master" if he has a win in the UFC by then!
Probably not going to happen this way, but one can hope. Barnett's last performance wasn't great but if I remember correctly he said he broke both his hands during the fight? The fan in me is hoping that fight was a bit of a fluke and that he can still do great things in the UFC.

I apologize I don't know what just happened.

Mr. MMA News Poster, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone at this forum site is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I apologize I don't know what just happened. | Nelson and Russow are no Jds or Overeem in the striking department. If he doesn't do it against Jds, then I'll be happy or at least work for a damn td instead of beg.

Werdum is one of ther most improved HW fighters in my opinion, i'd like to see him beat Big Nog just so he gets the shot. If Big Nog wins, and JDS wins against Cain then Noogueira will just step down from the title shot and the #1 contender status at HW gets all the murkier.
It's best for the division if Werdum can pull off the victory.

It's best for the division if Werdum can pull off the victory. | Agreed that Werdum has improved tremendously; and earned the shot. I also was far more impressed with him than with AO in their fight. He did drop to his back but AO refused to engage striking as well. It was just a weird, weird fight...
Either way, in the last three years Nog has beat Schaub and Peewee. No way he's in title contention, even with a win over Werdum.

Let Werdum fight Nelson or Mir.
Actually I would prefer:
- Reem fights tomorrow nights winner (Cain Vs JDS)
- Nog Vs DC
- Werdum Vs Mir
- Nelson Vs Mark Hunt
- Kongo Vs Antonio Silva
Overeem is still the man that beat Lesnar and made it look easy. He has earned his title shot unless ofcourse someone thinks he was juicing when he beat Brock.
