Also, JDS had many opportunities to pounce on some of Cain's failed takedowns, which some left Velasquez prone, but opted to run away to safety. I like JDS, but I respectfully disagree with anyone who says that Cain was "desperate" with those takedowns, because JDS was equally as desperate to get the hell outta Dodge.
BP | No doubt. For some reason people think a grappler is failing hard when he can't get the takedown and is able to try multiple multiple times in a round. Cain was fatiguing JDS with each takedown attempt and expending less energy than JDS was.
Those takedown attempts combined with the glove to the face made JDS' cardio horrible, nothing more.

Any thoughts?
BP | My thoughts are that it was a great shot that he couldn't capitalize on. I yelped when it happened and was cheering for a finish to no avail. One of the few seconds of that fight that weren't snore-worthy.

I think Tim would take a rematch. | That's a fair point man. I'll be re-watching the event tonight, so I'll look out for that. It definitely did appear that there was a sudden shift in momentum but I'd be interested to see (in retrospect) whether that is more likely because of the poke or the hand-breakage.

Some points about this event.
- Overall a decent event with some good fights.
- Both Leben and Brunson must be fired after that performance. If you do not have any idea of who are they and you watched them for the first time, you would never say that they are pro fighters. It was the worst fight I have seen since Kongo vs Shawn Jordan.
- What a bloodbath the Miller vs Lauzon fight. I do not know who bled more, Lauzon or Bigfoot in his fight with Cain.
- Anik is much much better than Goldberg. But him and Rogan make a pretty boring team. Bring Schiavello and Bas Rutten.
- Who is the idiotic judge that scored 30-27 for Guillard????
- How is that Myles Jury vs Johnson was 30-27??? It was at least 30-26 and probably even 30-25
- Finally people are going to stop saying that Tim Boetsch is so fucking awesome and all that stuff. Ok he was injured and that poke in the eye did not helped him at all, but even in the first round he looked absolutely unimpressive.
Good that Costa Philippou earned his 5th win in a row. Time for him to fight a Top 7 fighter.
- Cigano did not looked like himself at all. Even since the beginning, he was never trying to be agressive. At the beginning he was easily avoiding the takedowns, but he was not throwing anything. Cain rocked him and since then, it was a total domination by Velasquez.
- It shows once again that a lot of people that go to UFC events are absolute idiots. It is OK if you are a fan of Cain, but seriously why the fuck they would boo a guy that received an epic beating and still managed to not get finished??
He never talked shit, he acts like a likeable nice guy, if they did not wanted to at least give him a round of applause It's OK. But at least they should have kept their mouths shouted.
Cigano asked them why they are booing. Because they are raterded morons! That is why!!!
