One thing that frustrates me about this board is that one performance determines everything. Cain looked good, not unbeatable. That style he used to win is easy to game plan for, you could tell how unprepared jds was for it. I still think the rubber match is a coin toss to who would win.

And oh yeah, JDS was destroyed. |
I hope the internet can hold this thread...
I think Junior got tore up. He showed an amazing heart. I can't wait to see what he can do. It will be nice to see him have some adversity. I really think him and Cain are great, so the next two years will be awesome.

Mr. MMA News Poster, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone at this forum site is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

It seems that it is our nature or something, but to most of the people, you are as good as your last performance.
14 months ago Cain was the next GOAT and JDS was a solid prospect. A year ago JDS was the GOAT and Cain was an overrated glass chined guy.
In may JDS was the GOAT and Cain was actually pretty good.
Now Cain is the invincible GOAT and his KO loss was a fluke.
If JDS beats Cain, then JDS will again become the GOAT and what happened at UFC 155 was just a bad night for Cigano.
It is not only in MMA, it happens everywhere.
In soccer for example, Real Madrid lose one game and the press writes "Absolute disaster, Real madrid is in a huge crisis!!!!". 5 days later Real Madrid wins and press is "Real Madrid is back!! This team can beat anyone at any time".

Well I typed out a very long post that I spent quite a bit of time on considering people's opinions, Cain and JDS, and their fucking awesome fight but some bullshit happened like always when I go to submit it after being logged out from time constraints and then it gives me some shit about my post not being able to be submitted, so I back up a few pages and it's erased.
My dumb ass should know by now to copy and paste before trying to submit because this has happened to me a number of times and it leaves me not wanting to post anything.
Damn it. I can't even sum up what I had typed. Oh well, fuck it.
It was a great god damned fight and a treat for anyone who truly appreciates MMA and fighting. I feel sorry for all the people who watch fights but have no concept of what they're truly witnessing.

Picked Cain in the first fight... picked JDS in the 2nd fight...
Cain could do better than he did in the first fight, I also believe JDS can do better than he did in the rematch...
They are the clear 2 best HW's imo... they are a level above guys like AO and DC.
JDS can take a beating, but he just didnt seem himself... Cain's pace is incredible, especially for a HW...
JDS will always be dangerous early... He could easily KO Cain again... but if it goes past the 2nd or 3rd, Cain takes it every time.

When a fighter looses a fight, and in that fight he was being tentative, in the rematch he is almost always more aggressive. Cain's only option to beat JDS was be more agressive/start fast, since otherwise would risk getting knocked out.

Cain really showcased his wrestling and control... JDS has elite TDD, but Cain just kept going for the takedowns, even when he wasnt getting them...
Early on JDS was fast and had his TDD down very well... Once he started to slow down, Cain had it in the bag, JDS couldnt handle that pace... But to think JDS cant put Cain out again is a mistake.
Fan of both of them.

He probably figured if Cain came within range he would get cracked again.
