The UFC will have her appear on late night shows to promote the fight, that's almost guaranteed. Will it sell in the end, who knows, but I do agree that she should not have been given a headliner spot against such an unknown opponent. Had it been Cyborg, then it would have been different. IMO, they should have switched up the Main event with the co-main event.

If UFC wanted a bigger live gate they should have had this fight in Canada because we don't really care as much who is on the card, we just enjoy the fights in general. | To assume otherwise would be just silly. Ofcourse Rousey fighting a bigger name and much more lethal opponent would increase ticket sales.

What do you put on after that fight?

Its actually pretty sad, if this event doesn't work out and Dana cuts the womans roster like he said he would if it wasn't successful, where do these woman go? Hes actually going to kill womans MMA if this doesn't work.

Part of me thinks that the UFC would have factored in a less-than-inspiring buy rate for Rousey's first fight when they signed her, in the hope that the exposure she would gain from getting the win on the big stage would mean that her second fight would get a whole load more buys.
My only issue with this theory would be that the UFC could have put the women as a co-main event fight under a sure-fire big-seller of a main event, and she would still get a whole load of exposure off the back of it... perhaps even more as a big name main event would mean a larger PPV audience and thus more eyes on Rousey.
